Ph.D Program in Management
Business School of Hohai University has two doctoral programs: business administration and management science and engineering. All those programs have strong academic orientation. Students will be well equipped with solid economic and managerial knowledge, rigorous method training, and excellent academic career guidelines. Students in both programs take common courses in advanced economics and management.
Ph.D degree of Business Administration
In 2010, our school was accredited to the doctoral program of business administration. This program has high-qualified faculty and facilities. It aims to cultivate students to be academic talents in business and management field. A rigorous training of academic writing and methodology analysis is provided during doctoral duration. Students are required to obtain solid knowledge of the economics and management and to have scientific interest and rigorous scientific attitude. This program has 7 tracks. This is, (1) Strategic and Technological Management; (2) Technology Economics and Management in Water Resource and Hydropower; (3) Business Operation and Marketing; (4) Technology Innovation and Knowledge Management; (5) Human Resource and Organization Management; (6)Service Outsourcing and International Business; (7) Accounting and Finance Mnagement.
Generally, it has four program duration if a Master degree is obtained. But it will take at least 6 years for undergraduates. Students of this program should anticipate obtain 13－15 credits in their first two years. Some of the course include Organizational and Management Research Methodology, Decision Making Theory and Method, Operation Research and Optimization Methods, Human Resource and Organization Management, Strategy, Technology and Management, Business Management and Marketing, and so on.
Our school was authorized to initiate this doctoral program of management science and engineering in the year of 2003. A set of high-qualified faculty and facilities was ensured in this program. This program seek to train students to be be academic talents in the field of management science and engineering. Students in the program will be equipped with profound ability in management theory, system science, economics, mathematics and computer technology. This program has six tracks. This is, (1) Management Science Theory and Application; (2) Project Management and Engineering Management; (3) Financial Engineering and Investment Mnagement; (4) Information Mnagement and E-commerce; (5) Strategic Management and Decision Making; (6) Supply Chain Management.
